Guatemala ASPROGUATE, San Martín Jilotepeque, Fair Trade Organic Medium Roast

from $20.00

certified fair trade organic - women’s lot

flavor notes: milk chocolate, brûléed orange, agave

process: Guatemala ASPROGUATE is a washed coffee that shines for its balance and versatility. At every roast level, it carries a consistent foundation of chocolatey richness, orange-toned brightness, and agave sweetness. Roasted to medium, the body becomes rounder and more lingering while the citrus deepens into a brûléed orange, soft and smooth against the chocolate base.

impact: ASPROGUATE (Asociación Sostenible de Productores de Guatemala) was created in 2014 by 100 organic coffee farmers in Cobán, Acatenango, and Chimaltenango, later joined by producers from nearby areas. Based in San Martín Jilotepeque since 2016, the association trains members in organic cultivation, sustainable agriculture, and land stewardship—covering erosion control, shade management, and live barriers. Its team provides technical support, maintains full traceability, and connects farmers to international markets for fair prices and lasting partnerships. ASPROGUATE also advances gender equality, opposes discrimination and child labor, and empowers women, who represent 55% of members. This coffee was grown using organic practices by certified organic producers at origin.
